The place is extremely well maintained. It's cozy, warm, the vibe is very homey, the aroma, the slight deco is just right. Everything fits in like a puzzle piece. The owner is very kind, the food is served hot and the beauty of each dish is truly striking, you can tell the care and effort put into it. The taste is truly exquisite, with the spice and the sauce. I loved the kothey momos, would highly recommend getting a plate the moment you sit down to order. I would love to try their thukpa some day, other than that, their set of tea leaves are truly worth praising. All in all Spoonful was wonderful, affordable and a great dopamine boost. Would totally visit again!

The cafe is quite small with just three table and an open kitchen. The food was absolutely undoubtedly delicious. The chicken kothey we ordered was filled with flavours and juiciness that boggled my mind . The egg and chicken thukpa we ordered was a bit less in quantity but was rich of taste ... absolutely splendid. And last but not the least their tea section is huge with different kind of teas ... I tried the lemon honey ginger tea which was amazing . The staffs were really humble and helpful. In short we loved the cafe .

It's a quiet little place with an even little seating arrangement but serving one of the best momos in town . They make the momos in front of you so please do have some time in your hand , enjoy the feel of the mountains and sip some wonderful Temi tea! I personally felt that the steamed momos were better than the fried ones but have got to try the kothay as suggested!

It's a small, cute and an aesthetic café. It's a Sikkimese café with a seating arrangement of just 9 people with 3 tables. They have an open kitchen and you can see the chefs making your food which is quite enjoyable. Every dish of theirs is so good. We had : 1. Thenthuk (6/5) - My favourite dish of theirs is this one. It's a dry variant of thenthuk but it has all the Flavours. Thenthuk had some wait time of 40 mins so check with the chefs beforehand. 2. Bhuteko Bhaat (5/5) - It's spicy, flavorful with a lot of spices, and I loved it. The quantity was pretty good. 3. Virjin Mojito (5/5) - as it should be. There are some wait times for some of the dishes. Overall the experience was 5/5. The service was quick and the aesthetic was so cute with Sikkimese decoration.

If you’re craving authentic Himalayan food in Kolkata, Spoonful Cafe at Lake Terrace is an absolute gem! The moment you step in, the ambience instantly transports you to the hills – it genuinely feels like being in Darjeeling or Kalimpong, with a warm and cozy vibe that makes you want to linger longer. I have already visited this place twice in the past three months, and honestly, it has become one of my favorites. The food is nothing short of exceptional – every dish is prepared with such authenticity that it makes you keep coming back. Here’s what we tried and loved: Pork Steam Momos – Juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, definitely a must-try! Himalayan Noodles – Comfort in a bowl, with the perfect balance of seasoning and freshness. Pork Shapta – Rich, spicy, and cooked to perfection, a treat for pork lovers. Chicken Kothey Momos – Crispy yet soft, with a filling that bursts with taste. Each and every dish was next-level tasty – the kind of food you just can’t get over. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience authentic Himalayan cuisine without leaving the city. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
